Join us for an exciting adventure into the world of computer algorithms — where kids learn how computers think, plan, and solve problems! Through engaging games, puzzles, and coding challenges, campers will explore how step-by-step logic powers everything from video games to robots. Using hands-on projects and fun visual programming (and even a little Python for older campers), they’ll build strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills — all while having a blast creating their own digital solutions. No prior coding experience needed — just curiosity and imagination!
Prerequisites:
No prior programming or algorithms experience needed, we will start from the basics.
Instructor:
Deepika Balachander is a software engineer with over a decade of experience in the tech industry, including 3.5 years at Microsoft and 8.5 years at Google. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering from RV College of Engineering (Bangalore) and an M.S. in Computer Networking from North Carolina State University.
Deepika is passionate about mathematics, algorithms, and coding, with a strong focus on building efficient and elegant technical solutions. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and running, embracing challenges both in nature and in technology. As a parent she enjoys spending time with her son.
Deepika leads the STEM Education Program at Coding Bunnies, where her passion for inspiring young minds in STEM—and Computer Science in particular—shines through. She volunteers her time to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that broaden children’s curiosity and confidence in technology.
